Mario Games
Mario is one of the most famous faces in video games. He is an icon similar to that of Mickey Mouse thanks to the company Nintendo. Mario games are simplified version of a style of video game called platformers. Platform video games are usual games that involve a character navigating through various obstacles in an attempt to reach a goal. They are linear in nature in that they have a beginning and an end. For very young children, the online version of Mario games are simplified versions making it accessible to younger children. In general, a Mario game features the character Mario and using easy keyboard controls, the goal of the game is usually to navigate Mario to some kind of goal or finish line. Mario controls are usually simple, allowing the child to command Mario to either jump, go left, or go right. To add challenge and a sense of excitement, many of the free online Mario games will feature some type of time limit. This is a game popular among both boys and girls.
