Just in time for the holiday season and before all the shopping is completed, a list has been issued of the ten most unsuitable video games for children. Although, this may be a bit late for some people who have already finalized and even wrapped their gifts, the report has been presented. The list of games, provided by a US organization, the National Institute on Media and the Family, points out the ten most dangerous games for kids.
This report is apparently intended to assist parents and other would-be purchasers to understand which out of the many video game possibilities in the stores should definitely be avoided as gifts for youngsters. It should be noted that all the videos included in the list are actually labeled as 'M', meaning that they are intended for mature viewing only. However, it appears that the report is intended to aid parents in providing them with the knowledge regarding which video games are inappropriate for young children. The National Institute on Media and the Family do also offer recommendations for games that in contrast, would be suitable for children and teenagers.
