Production is seemingly underway for 'Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir' and the release is scheduled for Q4 2008.

It is reported that Atari, game publisher and distributor, has announced that production is underway for the new "Storm of Zehir", the second expansion of Neverwinter Nights 2.

'Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir' is being developed by the independent development studio Obsidian Entertainment and this role-playing game that is suitable for PC is expected to be on the shelves by the end of 2008.

Information surrounding the game includes a description detailing that "'Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir' hearkens back to the days of the Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale franchises by including full party customization, dungeon crawling, and free exploration of a non-linear game world via an Overland Map. The gripping storyline foreshadows the events that will take place in the Forgotten Realms with the coming release this June of the Fourth Edition of Dungeons & Dragons Role playing Game."

In a statement released to the press, it is stated that "the second expansion to Neverwinter Nights 2 will deliver an engrossing DUNGEONS & DRAGONS experience in the tradition of the Neverwinter Nights franchise and is scheduled for worldwide launch Q4 2008."

It appears that 'Neverwinter Nights 2' enthusiasts, thrilled in the past with the attractive multi player features, will be able to enjoy new elements and enhancements to the gaming experience in the future release. The new title is expected to include a range of exciting features, action packed adventure and several improvements on the original PC game. It is believed that 'Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir' will offer approximately 15 hours of game play and promises exciting dungeon crawling entertainment.
