Following Team Ninja chief Tomonobu Itagaki's publicized resignation from the Tecmo company earlier this month, Tecmo have now filed for a gag order on Itagaki.

Following his departure, the former studio head of Team Ninja and Tecmo employee made an announcement at the beginning of June regarding his intentions to sue the Tecmo Company regarding claimed unpaid bonuses. Itagaki is reportedly claiming damages in the amount of 148 million Yen. This week, it is reported that two additional former Tecmo employees are suing the Company for unpaid salaries.

Tecmo has now returned fire with a gag order on Itagaki filed with the Tokyo District Court on 10th June. In this order there are four points to which Itagaki must abide. These points include the following:

In this court order, Itagaki is prohibited from disclosing or leaking information regarding Tecmo's game software, sales, development or any other secrets. In addition, as a part of the court order, Itagaki is not permitted the use of newspapers, magazines and the Internet to criticize company software and company employees. Further, Itagaki is forbidden from obstructing the company's business through slanderous remarks to a third party. Finally, Itagaki is not allowed to accept interviews regarding Tecmo or talk to the press about the company.

It appears that until the time of the lawsuit, Tecmo have succeeded in keeping Itagaki in silence as he is not permitted to speak with the press regarding this matter.
